Are you actually experiencing corruption in real life?I am trying to use a Rassberry Pi to power a kiosk type display. I am running into issues where if the power is cut it can potentially corrupt the SD card.
I and my employer have been trying to get this to happen for 4 years now and have been unsuccessful in getting uSD card corruption on "A" rated SanDisk cards. We even set up months long testing with random power cuts every 20 minutes on four RasPi's and could not get single failure in over 10,000 power cuts.
So we opted to just ignore the potential problem, instead of adding the extra complexity of the read only file system. We have put 100+ units in customer hands over the past 3 years with zero uSD card field failures so far.
