Where both tests using a version of Ubuntu? If one was Raspberry PiOS what version?1080p was working fine for weeks on my hdmi monitor.
Last time I was using it some updates came up and I clicked ok.
Today I booted it up and 1024x768 is the maximum resolution shown, and there's no option under advanced in raspi-config to select resolutions.
I put Ubuntu 24 on another SD and it did the exact same thing - 1080p working great during install, I do updates and reboot and now I'm locked to 1024.
Some driver or firmware update has broken things I assume, any way to figure out what it is and revert the update?
(Eg. post the output of:
Code:
cat /etc/os-release
Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
What happens if you try booting without an SD card (or other bootable device) present? If you get a boot diagnostic screen can you post a picture?
