Hello,
I've just bought my first Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and, as the Raspberry Pi imager recommended, I've installed the latest version RaspberryPiOS (64-Bit) (bookworm).
After the installation I booted up, ran update & upgrade and 'apt install rpi-connect'.
It returned the message: 'rpi-connect is already the newest version (1.3.1)'.
However, the icon for rpi-connect does not appear in the system tray!
When I run 'rpi-connect signin' from the terminal, I am able to add the pi to my devices, but then I only have shell access and I would like desktop access.
When I run 'systemctl --user status rpi-connect' I see the following error:
- INFO: Unable to load settings, using clean slate
- systray error: failed to register: The name org.kde.StatusNotifierWatcher was not provided by any .service files
I've tried to google this error and found some similar errors, however none of the suggested fixes seem to work (or I don't understand how the fixes work, which is highly plausible as I'm a linux noob). I've tried disabling plasma and rebuilding the cache, that did nothing.
I've already tried a fresh install of RaspberryPi OS but the error persists. I find it highly unlikely that I am the only one experiencing the same error, but I seem to lack the search-skills to identify similar posts. So excuse me if I am duplicating an existing post.
Does anyone have any idea what might be the issue?
Regards!
Nick
