I recently set up a Pi 5 and everything is working fine - I am able to ssh into the Pi from inside my local network,. I then set up a static ip at 192.168.0.200 for the Pi and everything still works fine - I can ssh into either pi@raspberrypi.local or pi@192.168.0.200. However, once I set up port forwarding for port 22 (the ssh port) to the Pi's static ip something weird happens - I can ssh to pi@routers.ip, or pi@raspberrypi.local, but I receive a timeout error for pi@192.168.0.200. Could anyone explain why this happens?
I cannot explain, because it is not what I would expect.
However-
1. What is the OS and Hardware platform of the Workstation from which you issue the ssh Client connection attempts?
2. What is the overall network topology that connects the RPi, workstation and Internet access?
