Wouldn't it be easier to have Google send you an email when asked and then your software does what it needs to do?
I have not looked in amount time, but Google used to have a ton of integrations, including to IFTTT that your pi/computer can also interface with.
I don't seem why any hardware needs to be involved in this at all.
