Camera board • ERROR: *** no cameras available *** (RPi4B with HQ camera on Bookworm)

Hello,

Two years ago, I successfully turned my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B into a webcam with the HQ Camera (official) with this tutorial : https://github.com/geerlingguy/pi-camera

After two years, it wasn't recognized on my laptop as such.

So I thought it was my new laptop OS (Linux Mint, previously Ubuntu), so I downgraded it but nothing. I also tried to follow again the instructions on different RPiOS (Buster, Bullseye, Bookworm) but still nothing, lsusb returned nothing on my laptop, dmesg -w was showing errors.

Today, after days of research, I've tried the thing I should have done first : make sure the HQ camera is working ON the RPiOS desktop with a monitor...

I run "libcamera-hello -t 0" and I get the following :

ERROR: *** no cameras available ***

The HQ camera isn't even detected on the raspberry pi itself ! I made sure the ribbon cable was correctly connected and it is ! What the duck is going on ? Thank you
