I recently got a new Pi5 to run my Home Assistant instance. I also bought official Pi case with cooling fan and added the heatsink that was provided with it. After running for a few hours i went up to see the LED power light was red. I turned it back on and a few hours it was off I again. I tried a different power cable and the same result. It was up and working and then randomly shut down. Did this a few times.
I then took it out the case and disconnected the fan and its been up and running for 48 hours no issue. Put it back in the case and plugged the fan in and it turned off after a couple of hours.
Any ideas where to start to try and see why this happening? I could just run it without the case but that is beside the point.
