There is a lot of misinformation being spouted here.
There have been so many changes in this area that it's hard to keep track of them all and not surprising that misinformation gets spread.
Is there a simple table anywhere that shows all the variations between releases ?
When running the latest Raspberry Pi OS, a lot of the desktop is accelerated in hardware and all the graphics compositing is done by a combination of the 3D block (using MESA) and the 2D block (using DRM). We are moving to LabWC from Wayfire as the Wayland compositor, it just works better.
"Better" is subjective unless you say how you are comparing them.

The RPi version of Wayfire has had so many features removed I think it's unfair to say "LabWC is better than Wayfire" when what you you mean is "LabWC is better than our forked version of Wayfire not the upstream version".
