Hello,
I have seen this posted some time ago but now its locked and I think the user wasn't completely understood (viewtopic.php?t=346970) . When I try to format the MicroSD with Raspberry Pi Imager, if I have Google Drive installed, it fails because it considers Google Drive a partition of the card:

After the error my computer can't format the card either, I have to format it in my phone (then my computer can also format it again). I'm not sure what is causing this but its just annoying, it can be fixed uninstalling Google Drive before using Raspberry Pi Imager.
I have tried versions 1.8.5 and 1.9.0 in Windows 11 Pro
My own reaction is that you should be able to configure your installation of Microsoft Windows so that you have a choice of which drives and partitions it 'shadows' to the Cloud for you.
But if you disagree and regard this as a mis-feature in Raspberry Pi Imager then you are more likely to get an informed response from the Developers if you raise an Issue for them in the appropriate Issue Tracker here : https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-imager/issues
