Beginners • Re: "How to build a Raspberry Pi NAS" help

Hello! Pi/Linux noob here. I too am running into similar errors following this tutorial from the rpi website. I'm currently stuck here:

Command (m for help): wThe partition table has been altered.Failed to remove partition 1 from system: Device or resource busyThe kernel still uses the old partitions. The new table will be used at the next reboot.Syncing disks.
It's been like that for a few hours. No command prompts are presented so I suppose that means I need to keep waiting.
I think the reason no command prompt is presented is in order for you not to carry on without rebooting. Me, I would reflect for a moment on what data I might lose and whether I had lost it already before rebooting.. When you repartition anything, you are on your own with the consequences LOL.
They're brand new with zero data saved except the OS that was imaged. About four hours ago it was in the same state so I opened another terminal to attempt a restart.
