Those look like good results. I'd recommend removing the email data mining portal from your website so this post doesn't look like spam. Maybe like thisHi all, I'm new to the RPi world, just bought a couple of RPi boards to mess around with.
I was wondering if anyone has done throughput profiling on the in-built (Infineon) WiFi? I've seen the Tom's Hardware benchmark results which seem lower than what I've achieved.
I've done some experimentation connecting the vanilla RPi to an 8x8 AP, tested TCP downstream/upstream, the performance is reasonable for the cost of the device, I'm getting between 240 and 260Mbps upstream (RPi -> AP), and 240Mbps solid downstream. For UDP the RPi5 seems to top out at ~300Mbps both directions. I'm thinking this is likely a bottleneck in the SDIO interface as the PHY efficiency looks lower than expected.
I've documented my findings on my substack if anyone is interested in taking a look:

I've also got an Alfa networks AWUS03AXM which I'll try out soon and post back here.
Happy to discuss what results you all have achieved, and any hints on how to improve performance.
