General discussion • lxqt desktop

Everything I tried - update-alternatives, edit lightdm.config - failed to start lxqt.
Eventually an awefull hack did work
I replaced /usr/bin/startlxde-pi with startlxqt

How'd a sane person get a lxqt desktop to start

NBs
startlxqt *does* work, so installation (apt install lxqt) was correct
latest bookworm
/etc/lightdm/lightdm.config
...
/usr/bin/startlxde-p
...
