I have a C++ Vulkan game engine I develop that I write games with. Many moons ago on my PI4 running buster, I would get really good frame rates. Like in the hundreds.
Once I got my PI5, installed the latest Bookworm and compiled my games. I get a frame rate of about 15 running the same thing. I did a test today with a spare flash card and installed the 64-bit version of bookworm on my PI4. This time the same game ran with about 7 frames per second.
Yet on my PI5 I can install "Super Tux Kart" and it runs good. I can only assume it's running under OpenGL. Not sure what to make of this. I was expecting the PI5 to be faster for game development but it's unusable.
Any thoughts?
