Hello,
I’m working on a project where I need to control an SMC PVQ13 proportional valve using a Raspberry Pi.
So far, I’ve attempted to use an IRF540N MOSFET module to drive the valve by varying the PWM duty cycle. While this setup has allowed me to achieve basic On/Off control—where the valve turns on at duty cycles above approximately 85%—I haven’t been able to achieve proper proportional control.
The PVQ13 specifications indicate that it operates with a proportional control current in the range of 0–85mA.
My questions are:
Is it possible to achieve proportional control of the PVQ13 with this setup?
If not, what alternative control method or configuration would you recommend to properly control this valve?
