I moo have trouble imoogining what would keep all four cores busy for 5 months. For me any task which took that long would be tempting to move to a larger moochine.

Could the Pi be running as a BOINC node? Maybe the goal is to stress test the active cooler.

Correct, I run Boinc with

Three Pi4's 24/7
One Pi5 24/7
Two AMD 16 thread (5800H) 24/7
Three Intel 8 thread (4790S) As required

I normally target the medical/biological projects (covid, cancer, heart etc) but not exclusively.
